Where to get alchemy specialization quest

The drop rate is really bad and you probably can't finish the quest in one run. To complete the quest, you will need: 4x Primal Might. Zygor's Leveling Guide I recommend trying Zygor's Leveling Guide if you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt. The guide is in a small window on your main screen in-game. All the detail that you need to complete the quest is included in the guide.

May I ask though, which specialization do you reckon is the most profitable? I'm thinking transmutation I'm casual so easy money in as little time as possible is preferred. But which specialization is the best for flasks? I actually just hit myself it's difficult so say.

For a long time elixir mastery was the norm, however with that latest patch everyone is trying to be an elixir master and it's difficult to get stuff to sell. I'm going to try out transmutation master and post an update, I also have a JC toon so this works nicely.

Pots are not super great, better if you actually farm the mats and proc extras. As far as instant-profit goes transmutation for sure. Originally Posted by Reflection.

By Ndo in forum World of Warcraft General. Potions also usually require the least amount of materials to create. A Cauldron made by an Alchemist has 25 charges of a Major Protection Potion and can be used by anyone in a party or raid group with the Alchemist. Elixirs , such as Elixir of Healing Power or Adept's Elixir typically grant you a useful 1-hour buff to increase stats beneficial to your class.

Elixirs usually require a small or moderate amount of materials to create. As Elixirs were very powerful and some of their effects formerly could stack with other Alchemy consumables, in TBC Classic elixirs were changed into the Battle and Guardian elixir types. You can be under the effect of one elixir of each type at a time. However, their effects are removed on death. This lab can be found be found next to Lorokeem at the coordinates 46,21 in Shattrath. Flasks, with the exception of Flask of Petrification , provide a 2-hour buff that persists through death.

Using a flask does not trigger a 2-minute cooldown. However, flasks require the most materials of all Alchemy consumables to create and should be used carefully! In addition, flasks count as both a battle and a guardian elixir, so you cannot make use of any elixirs while under the effects of a flask. Transmutes , such as Skyfire Diamond and Primal Might are very sought after by players with other professions.

TBC Classic transmutes share a hour cooldown, while transmutes from Vanilla have no cooldown. Combining Alchemy with Herbalism to gather your own herbs, Mining to gather gems from ore deposits, or Jewelcrafting to receive gems from prospecting ores can be beneficial. How exactly these specializations work and how they can be learned will be covered in the specialization section of this guide.

Skill levels Apprentice to Artisan are taught by trainers in the capital cities of each faction. Talking to any city guard will open a dialogue window which can lead you to the profession trainers by showing a red flag on the map and an arrow on the minimap. Skill levels Master can be learned exclusively in Outland.

Horde players learn it from Apothecary Antonivich , who is also in a tower, but in Thrallmar, Hellfire Peninsula. In order to level Alchemy efficiently, you will want to craft items that appear Orange or Yellow in your Alchemy crafting window.

Orange items guarantee a skill-up while Yellow have a high chance of granting a skill-up. Crafting Green items for leveling Alchemy should be only considered when you can sell the crafted items on the auction house for profits.

Gray items never give skill-ups. The tricky part about leveling Alchemy is that there is no 'right' way of doing it, as material, potion, elixir, and flask prices differ from server to server and from day to day. You can end up buying very cheap herbs from the auction house in the morning, and paying 5 times the price in the evening or during the weekend.

Therefore, we suggest taking a look at this Alchemy leveling guide over at wow-professions. Each specialization will give each craft of either Elixirs and Flasks, Potions, or Transmutations a small chance to create an additional item, and the same bonus can apply to subsequent crafts.

You can choose to learn only one out of the three specializations. In Hellfire Peninsula, the faction-specific Alchemy trainers offer three quests when you are at least Level 68 and have an Alchemy skill of or higher. Accept Master of Elixirs. This quest will send you to Lorokeem , the neutral Alchemy trainer in Shattrath. Once you have handed the quest in, Lorokeem offers you the quest Master of Elixirs with the same name, but a different objective.

Lorokeem asks you to bring him:. This is an easy Alchemy specialization quest and upon completion, you will become an Elixir Master. After handing the quest in, accept part 2 of Master of Potions. Before granting you the specialization, Lauranna needs:.

Lauranna will reward you with Elixir Master. This specialization is the cheapest and easiest of all three Alchemy specializations to acquire. After handing in part 1, Zarevhi offers Master of Transmutation part 2. You need to bring Zarevhi:. After bringing the 4 Primal Might s to Zarevhi , he will share his knowledge of how to become a Transmutation Master with you.

This is the most expensive of all three Alchemy specializations because the raw materials of Primal Might are very expensive and they can be transmuted only once every 20 hours. If you want to become a Transmutation Master or any of the Alchemy specializations after your initial choice, there is a simple trick to speed up the process.

By paying gold to the NPC who gave you your current Alchemy specialization, you can de-specialize and learn another specialization from the three specialization trainers for free. This can be repeated and is the cheapest way of becoming a Transmutation Master, as Elixir Master is chosen as an Alchemist's first spec. In TBC Classic, some Alchemy creations are learned from Alchemy Trainers, some exist as Recipe items out in the world, and some are learned through discovery.

While Recipe items can come as drops or be bought from vendors, discoveries can only be made by crafting Alchemy items from Outland. Each time you craft anything, there is a small chance to make a discovery and learn recipes not available otherwise. Below you will find a list of all trainable, buyable, and discoverable Alchemy crafts, along with their use or effect. Cauldrons can only be discovered when making their related Protection potion; crafting a Major Shadow Protection Potion can discover the recipe for a Cauldron of Major Shadow Protection , for example.

Some of these Recipes drop from enemies, some are sold from vendors, and some require reputation with a faction to be bought. This guide has been written by Wrdlbrmpft aka Arcanaenus, playing Mage since He is usually found in the Mage discord , where you may also ask him questions his guides do not answer. There is no item created so discoveries can not be sold or traded. In addition the proc rate of a discovery is random and very low, less then. Comment by Reap I have made around elixirs and I got only 2 times x2 proc Any advices?

All elixirs over like elixir of empowerment, fel strength pot, elixir of major agility, flasks, etc. Comment by What about flasks like flask of titans is that potions or elixir? Comment by I have made over elixirs and flasks of all kinds with Master of Elixirs active. After having read several wrong posts about master of Elixirs lets get some facts: - Master of Elixirs is an Alchemy profession specialisation remember you are stuck with the one you choose you can learn by completing the quest "Master of Elixirs" given by Lorokeem at Shattrath's Lower City To be able to do the quest yourself you surely need to be in Alchemy since that's the level for Elixir of Major Defense.

This is based on a sample pool of over consumables made since completing the quest. It is random though, if you keep making stuff, it evens out. I didn't get a single proc off my first 10 flasks made and I had decided it procced for a lower rate then elixirs, the 11th procced 4 extra Supreme Power Comment by To choose another specialiazion you need to relearn alchemy from skill 1. Comment by People that have not decided yet.

There's an upcoming "nerf" to how elixirs work on patch 2. That might change the way it works. Comment by İ have made a small calculation İf you are a elixir master and making elixir of major agility lets say you grind the mats and buy the vial 20 vials cost you 7,2 gold if you have enough rep which you will surely have at least in one city you are going to make 20 elixir of major agilities with herbs being gathered.

So you have 3 mights each might sells for gold as it has been said in wowhead so farming all mats and xmuting a might gives you gold if middle calculations are being taken. But just farming for 20 elixir of major agility mats ends up for ,8gold if again middle taken. So here we go with the important questions; 1 xmute is once a day 2 elixir is nonstop and even includes flasks 3 each try has its own chance to proc 3 ech try has its own chance to discover a new recipe 4 you can make flasks and elixirs from the different herbs not only teracone and felweed as in the above elixir of major agility 5 Guilds are making Dungeon runs and so flasks and elixirs are needed much more then Primal Might which are only in demand of item makings All in all Elixir mastery overwhelms Xmute mastery unless your server has an extreme unpredicted situation as above statements have listed.

But i dont think that will cause people all to go for xmute mastery : P. Maybe differ from server to server. But imo elixir mastery overwhelms xmute. Just wanted to make a Elixir vs. Xmute note :P Hope it will help you to have an idea. But if you wanna go for xmute or potion sure it is your desicion :D. Comment by You can unlearn your current specialization in Stormspire Netherstorm. Comment by You need to be lvl 68 and have Alchemy.

You will find about 4 Essence per run so it will be 3 or 2 runs. And the total mats needed for the potions is 15x Ancient Lichen, 25x Terocone and 15x Felweed. So there is no reason not to do this quest since you will need to run Caverns of Time anyway. Comment by I did Bm yesterday and couldnt get the 10 items for the quest, i got Comment by Graebeard I picked up the quest from Lauranna, believing I would have a choice of one of three directions.

I then picked up the items she wanted but then realized all she had was the Master of Potions. I did NOT complete the quest, but Lorokeem won't talk to me. I'm lvl 70 with Alchemy. Any ideas how to go about picking up Lorokeem's quest? Comment by ChuckWhitson It appears that after you drop a mastery you also lose your cooldowns.
