How does sin affect our relationship with god

What affect does sin have on our relationship with God? When Adam and Eve sinned, they were afraid and hid themselves from their creator.

Sin causes separation between us and our creator. We need to confess our sins daily so that we may hear the voice of God speaking to us. Pray for victory over sin. Jesus had victory over sin and He can give us victory also. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans NIV. It brings wars, fighting, misery and heartache. Sin destroys relationships with both man and God. Sin pays such horrible wages. This is especially true for Christians. Sin debases and destroys all that is good. Sin digs a deep grave for us! Sin is lawlessness or it is living as if there is no God. Sin is a demonstration of a lack of faith on our part. It is a plague of our heart. Sin is "filthiness of the flesh and spirit. Jeremiah Anguish over sin, an attitude of repentance and confession of sins are necessary qualities for growth and development in the Spirit.

We brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus need both forgiveness and cleansing. We must get sin right within ourselves or we will pay the price. We must get to the root of our own sin of man and of God our transgressions. We must seek "Conviction of the Spirit", we must seek help from the Spirit to help us overcome these shortcomings whatever they sin they are. By seeking help to overcome these shortcomings, we must humble ourselves to God our Father, and we must have integrity with Him, and through this integrity and humbling, we must admit that we struggle with whatever the shortcoming or shortcomings, and that we do love our sin, even if we really don't, because the flesh does if we like it or not.

We need His strength to help us NOT be overpowered by these shortcomings, and if we do not understand how we got there in the first place, then how will know how to stop or overcome them.

Yes, this is a free will choice to sin, but our flesh is so attached and in love to and with this world, that it is a struggle for us, even as faithful believers. Are burdens are difficult to bear and too much for us to handle on them on our own without divine intervention through our free will choice for God our Fathers intervention. God our Father will not interfere or intervene with our lives until we fully give our lives to Him through Christ Jesus through our free will choices.

Then and only then through our free will choices will He give us life. It is said Then, when we do that, He turns to us and says; "And now, your will be done.

So what are you applying for God our Father? What are you doing for God our Father? Originally Posted by. Last edited by Brother Michael; at PM.. Much of the New Testament is devoted to explicating what happened on the cross of Christ, and the atonement was necessitated by the problems that sin brought to our relationship with God Rom.

To understand the atonement, therefore, we must first understand how our transgressions affect our relationship with our Creator. First, as a result of sin, we have incurred a debt to God.

Since God is the Creator and our Sovereign King, He has the absolute right to impose obligations on us. God first imposed His law on us in Eden, commanding Adam to obey Him perfectly by not eating the forbidden fruit Gen. Adam stands in a special relationship to the rest of humanity. No sinner can pay this debt, for it takes someone of infinite worth to satisfy this charge against us. Christ, however, could pay this debt because of His infinite worth as the Son of God.

He becomes our new federal head, and we are counted righteous in Him 2 Cor. Sin also puts us at enmity with God. It has broken our relationship with Him and has made us His enemy Hos. We have wronged God by our sin and destroyed the relationship, and the only way to restoration is through Christ the Mediator.
