How does the movie hachi end

Indeed, at first, Parker intended to find the dog's owner; but, instead, after realising that nobody claims the dog, he decided to keep the abandoned puppy, naming it Hachiko. Then, tragedy struck, giving the perfect example of the strong, the unwavering, and sometimes, the unexplainable bond that can form between a man and an animal. Sign In. Had useful details. Parent of a 4 and 9-year-old Written by Mokir C. February 7, Wonderful, emotional, full of meaning This was such a beautiful film.

It was very emotional, yes, but the overall message it sends is one that I think children and adults alike should hear. My daughter 9 cried tears of emotion at a couple of points because the story of Hachi and his loyalty to his owner is so touching. We were all shedding tears at the end but this allowed us to reflect upon the meanings of loyalty, human, love, and relationships at the end.

Adult Written by Kevin Thumar June 3, Adult Written by MaxPower January 8, I had to put my dog down, she had the love and devotion for me like Hachi had! Sad at the end. I cry thinking about it. Watch it! Adult Written by telex October 1, Never again. Don't watch this film if you ever plan on feeling happy at any point after finishing it.

Adult Written by Mary L. June 19, Inspiring and heartbreaking It's been awhile since a movie made me cry like that one! Adult Written by Sharmila R. January 27, So heart-touching!

This movie made me cry a lot. It's sad to know how Hachi waited everyday for 9 years for his deceased master at the station to return home with him.

It shows how loyal he was. Hachi is a great dog! This title contains: Positive role models. Adult Written by Megan B. January 19, Ask Question. Asked 5 years, 2 months ago. Active 3 years, 6 months ago. Viewed 6k times. Improve this question. It was meant to reflect the last time they were together.

Old Hachi wouldn't have made sense, Parker had been dead for several years by then. But the scene is intended to show that Parker comes back and takes Hachi with him. So, he should be taking the old Hachi, right? Not the young one.

Just my two cents: you may want to reconsider or reword the question. I did not expect to be crying at the end I thought it was a happy story. At the end all I was thinking was poor hachi! The movie is good but very sad and I do not recommend it for younger kids. Teen, 14 years old Written by Lyna08 March 29, Shows true meaning This movie is the true meaning of a special bond between humans and dogs.

This shows that even if they can't talk they can feel. I was 5 or 6 with adult supervision when the movie first came out and since then I have really fallen in love with the story of this dog and if you have any emotions this would be the movie to cry too. I used at least 2 tissue boxes. Kid, 12 years old August 23, Teen, 13 years old Written by Danbail November 11, I still rant about this traumatizing tearjerker today!

However, this is not a movie I recommend because I had a horrible experience! Note to parents, tender-hearted children have no business watching this movie! This one crossed the line! I will say this, the only thing this movie inspires you to do Now the review starts: What happened was, when I was 10, it was September of , me and my dad were desperately looking for a movie.

It had a pretty nice start to it. He thought that he remembered some comic relief in there, but it turns out, we were both wrong. Then, all of the sudden, spoiler alert: Richard Gere's character plays the piano, then collapses to the ground and dies of a heart attack. Not only was that sad, but it brought back some tragic memories. It was so painful, I felt like I was being electrocuted, like the beginning scene in Ghostbusters.

Then, I was relieved. But I still felt I had to make sure my dad enjoyed it. By the way I still know how it ends, spoiler alert: he goes to the train station every day until his life is over. I stayed up all night, trying everything possible to forget about it. It was stuck in my brain like Gorilla Glue! Look up Romans to see what reference I'm making in the sentence with quotations.

But regardless of their opinions, the fact that Hachi is still concerned about his master until the end of his life is just pitiful for me to watch.

Let me put it this way: For me, people who enjoy a hopeless story like this might as well enjoy watching an entire movie about a pig waiting in a butcher shop on a mission to find his mother, only to end the movie at Waffle House with a waiter serving 2 large plates of bacon!
